"Beauty is truth,
truth beauty,
-that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."- John Keats

While other kids were playing in the playground, I was writing plays that they would perform at the school auditorium. Moving from Vienna to Los Angeles at young age, an all too treacherous transition from the Danube to the Pacific, marked the beginning of my drive to seek beauty as an escape.

And when I discovered I could create that beauty by waving my magic pen I never stopped waving it.

As an adult, I went on to study art history and soon found myself writing press releases for an internationally renowned art gallery. I also transitioned from plays to poetry which I kept hidden in a diary until my recent decision to weave a good portion of that poetry into my first book.

Writing became a  much-needed anchor in the storms that seemingly ceaselessly brewed in me and around me.

I admittedly lived fast and hard, and writing not only grounded me, but it provided me with a shiny sheen I could glaze over the rubble and the wreckage of my life—

making it easier to look at. Easier to sit with. Easier to accept.

My only wish is that my magical pen  can do for others what it has done for me.

May ye find beauty in thine truth, whilst gallantly glancing in the mirror I e’er so heartfully and humbly hold before thee in my script.
